Experience report / case study

An experience report or case study provides first-hand experience from the presenter. Usually a series of events from one scenario (e.g. adopting agile development in a company) is presented, but some experience reports may draw upon experience from several different scenarios.

Experience reports and case studies concentrate on the events and learning process experienced by the presenter, and are presented through a mixture of personal stories, quotes from others, photographs, objects, graphs, statistics etc. Most projects are a mixture of things that went well and things that went badly, and an experience report should reflect this. Presenters are often not experts, but people who have recently learned some important things in context about the topic.
