We’re looking for new people to join the committee for XpDay 2009, and now is the time we start getting organised. This is your chance to bring your ideas, and help steer the conference towards what you want to see.

Q) Isn’t that a lot of work?

Not too much. We spread things across the whole year, and between a group of people. There shouldn’t be many points where there is lots to do - we want to work at a sustainable pace.

Q) I’ve never done anything like this before, will I be useful?

We hope to bring in new people with fresh ideas, and to help spread and transfer knowledge about how to organise the conference. We are thinking about pairing on the various roles, so that new people can learn from more experienced people.

Q) What sort of thing needs doing?

There are several broad categories of things that need to be looked after, including: Finances, Programme, Sponsorship, Venue/Catering, Social Events, Publicity, Website, General organisation
